Blacktown Workers Sera Eagles made it back-to-back wins in The Knock-On Effect Cup with a tough 14-10 victory over the Newtown Jets at Henson Park on Saturday.

In a match played in wet conditions, the Sea Eagles fought hard to record their fourth win from seven games to move into seventh place after seven rounds.

After conceding an early try to five-eighth Daniel Atkinson, the Sea Eagles hit back through a try to centre Clayton Faulalo to trail 6-4 after 26 minutes.

A converted try to powerful winger Raymond Tuaimalo four minutes before half-time saw Blacktown Workers take a 10-6 lead into the break.

Blacktown Workers then capitalised on the sin-binning of Newton centre Addison Demetriou with a try to hooker Kobe Rugless for a 14-6 lead after 56 minutes.

The Jets hit back with a try to Jordin Leiu for a 14-10 scoreline for a nervous final 10 minutes but Blacktown Workers managed to dig deep to secure victory.
